Fall Semester
Coming in September (date tbd), CLOSER: At the Intersection of God and Gay
A public storytelling event related to the organization CLOSER (Community Liaison Organization for Support, Education, and Reform), which launched in 1979 from All Souls Church. For over thirty years, CLOSER supported LGBTQ+ life in Western North Carolina, and yet their legacy is virtually invisible online. This is a collaboration with Buncombe County Special Collections.
